In honor of Navy Lieutenant Michael McGreevy, 30, of Portville, NY, who was killed in Afghanistan June 28.  With heavy hearts we offer our prayers and condolences to his wife, Laura, and 14-month-old daughter, Molly.  The price of freedom, and its worth, is found in Michaels passing. The debt owed to Michael and his family can never be repaid but only honored by remembering Michael and remaining free.

        This past weekend I participated in my first Triathlon and it was a wonderful experience.  I’m going to be honest, when I arrived at Cajun Field (alone thanks to Lindsay needing her beauty rest) I started to panic a little.  I was wearing shorts that were waaaaaaaaaaaaay smaller than I was used to wearing.  I wasn’t sure if triathletes walked their bikes or rode their bikes to check in, wore their towels around their necks, clipped their helmets to the handlebars….You see where this is going.  So I stood there for a few minutes pretending to get my gear ready, when I was actually watching all of the others to see what their routines were.   It really reminded me of my first time stepping into a CrossFit gym and made me think of how everyone might feel stepping into Ragin’ CrossFit for the first time.  It takes a lot of courage to get out of your comfort zone and to try something new like CrossFit.  The reason for writing this blog is to encourage everyone to push past their limits and never be satisfied.  There is always room for self improvement in so many different aspects of life.  Now go kill those ninja wallballs!!!
