 We would like to welcome our newest coach Matt Menard to the Ragin CrossFit Coaching Staff.  Get to know Matt a little more:

-Played football and wrestled for STM.
-Attended UL graduated in finance
-Member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity
-Personal trainer for 2 years
-I Came from a bodybuilding background and had to learn to leave my ego at the door when it came to crossfit. In the summer of 2015 an old training partner sent me the link to an article about a bodybuilder who had added in the crossfit methodology to his training and it allowed him more freedom with his diet. After reading it I decided to give it a try and was instantly hooked. Crossfit pushed me to my limits and beyond on multiple occasions. It showed me I was physically capable of more than I ever thought I was.

"Crossfit is challenging and competitive and that's why I fell in love with it. For me coming to the gym to coach doesn't even feel like work, I truly love helping people achieve their goals."

Favorite lift: Snatch
Certifications: CF-L1 and ACSM Certified Personal Trainer
Outside gym activities: hiking, kayaking, skydiving, camping, watching movies/ tv shows.
